Bio

Henry J. Folse is retired Professor Emeritus at the Department of Philosophy, Loyola University New Orleans. Prof. Folse has written extensively on the philosophy of Niels Bohr and in Philosophy of Science and Metaphysics. He recently published "Complementarity and Pragmatic Epistemology: A Comparison of Bohr and C.I.Lewis," in the collection Niels Bohr and The Philosophy of Physics: Twenty-First Century Perspectives, which he co-edited with Jan Faye (University of Copenhagen), Bloomsbury 2017. In addition to Philosophy of Science, during his twenty-five years at Loyola he was responsible for teaching Practical and Symbolic Logic, Scientific Revolutions, Epistemology, Metaphysics, Nineteenth Century Philosophy and Analytic Philosophy.
