Bio

Dr. James Charles Coleman III is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of English here at Loyola University New Orleans. He earned his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University in Curriculum and Instruction, English Education. His research focuses on English as a Second Language, multicultural studies, and young adult literature. Dr. Coleman is passionate about supporting multilingual learners through innovative linguistic instruction and culturally responsive teaching. He is dedicated to empowering students from diverse linguistic backgrounds to excel academically and socially. Outside of academia, he enjoys riding his bike, reading, and traveling with his wife.
