The University will observe summer break from June 29 through July 3.
While campus offices will be closed during this time, classes will proceed as planned.
Regular operations resume on Monday, July 6.

Katarzyna Saxton

Bio

Dr. Saxton research area of interest is in applied mathematics, particularly in hyperbolic equations and continuum thermodynamics. Her work has been published in numerous publications and she co-edited the book “Nonlinear PDE's, Dynamics and Continuum Physics”, Contemporary Mathematics, American Mathematical , 2000. She has received research awards from the Louisiana Education Quality Support Fund (1991-1994) and from the National Science Foundation (2002-2005). 
In 2001 she was a  co-organizer of the American Mathematical Society Special Session: Nonlinear Evolution Equations and Application, Joint Mathematics Meeting in New Orleans and, in 1998,  she co-chaired the "AMS-IMS-SIAM 1998 Joint Summer Research Conference in the Mathematical Sciences - Nonlinear PDE's, Dynamics and Continuum Physics" in Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, Massachusetts.
