Our campus is located in the historic Uptown neighborhood, in direct proximity to some of the most classic and delicious restaurants in the city, and is just across the street from majestic Audubon Park. Explore the brand new Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport

Located about 20 minutes away from our campus, the Louis Armstrong airport is the hub for all incoming and outgoing flights to New Orleans. Navigating the airport is easier than ever with their new interactive map and descriptive directions.

RTA – Public Transit

Loyola is located along the St. Charles Street car line. Download the RTA Le Pass app to navigate the bus and streetcar systems in New Orleans to arrive to our campus.

Rental Car

Flying into New Orleans? Use the airport website to reserve a car and know where to go upon arrival and departure. Hop on over to the parking on campus tab to know here to park on campus for your visit.

Directions from Interstate 10, Traveling East + West

Follow interstate signs toward the Central Business District
As you enter the downtown area, follow the signs that merge to Highway 90 Westbank/Superdome/Claiborne Ave.
After merging on Highway 90, get in the right lane and exit at St. Charles Ave./Carondelet St.
At the second traffic light, turn right onto St. Charles Avenue
You will drive down St. Charles Avenue for four miles.
Loyola University New Orleans will be to your right (you will see the statue of Jesus and the LOYOLA letters on the lawn).

Loyola’s campus offers free parking in the Marquette Horseshoe (on St. Charles Avenue) for visitors. If you are visiting for one of our open houses, you may park in either the West Road or Freret Street Parking Garage on the day of the event. Daily Weather

A rainy day doesn't necessarily mean that you can't take full advantage of what New Orleans has to offer. Make sure you pay attention to your preferred weather apps when planning your visit to New Orleans.

Hurricane Season

Hurricane Season is from start of June to the end of November. New Orleans and Loyola are always prepared to handle these weather systems with our hurricane preparedness plans. If you are visiting during these months, we strongly encourage you to pay attention to the National Hurricane Center to be on top of any potential storm systems that may head to New Orleans.

New Orleans offers a lot of activities for families to explore for free. If you are looking to explore the places that cost money, here are some recommendations of places that offer discounts for your high school and college aged students.

- Kids and Young Adults (19 and under) get free admissions
- University Students get in for $8.00 + fees. (must show valid student ID)
- Seniors get in for $10.00 + fees.
