Pulitzer Prize-Winning Author Colson Whitehead Speaks at Loyola

(New Orleans, La. – July 4, 2019) Join us for an enlightening evening with author Colson Whitehead, as he discusses his new book The Nickel Boys.

In this bravura follow-up to the Pulitzer Prize, and National Book Award-winning No. 1 New York Times bestseller The Underground Railroad, Colson Whitehead brilliantly dramatizes another strand of American history through the story of two boys sentenced to a hellish reform school in Jim Crow-era Florida.

The event takes place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in Loyola University New Orleans’ Roussel Hall, 6363 St. Charles Ave. Tickets are $32. Each ticket includes one signed copy of Nickel Boys. Books will be distributed to ticket holders at the event. All books will be pre-signed so there will not be a book signing at the event.

Doors open at 6 p.m. There will be street parking. To reserve your seat, visit Eventbrite.com.
