Loyola’s economics faculty was recently ranked among the top five at regional universities in the U.S. South by researchers Franklin G. Mixon of the Center for Economic Education at Columbus State University and Kamal Upadhyaya of the University of New Haven in a journal article published by the Economics Bulletin.

The rankings looked at all universities located in the U.S. South and also categorized by U.S. News & World Report’s America’s Best Colleges 2016 as “regional universities, which includes a set of about 200 universities. The ranking was based on the average of the Economics literature scholarly output scores over the course of each economist’s career for the top five economists from each regional university.
